HISTORY

CG&C was founded in Geneva in early 1992, by two partners (one now deceased) for the purpose of providing innovative - some, indeed highly creative - consulting services to the top management and board of companies who felt either that they did not need such services, or that consultants were altogether a dangerous breed, or, when they did not feel either of these, that consulting services were beyond their means.

CG&C’s novel business model and service offerings were simply based on a process of identification and analysis of the weaknesses - real and perceived - of its competitors’ services and methods, and the definition of value propositions that dealt with most, if not all, of these weaknesses.

The close, privileged relationship that tends to develop, over time, between CG&C consultants and the firm’s clients led the latter to ask the firm to provide assistance in connection with new challenges/problems. Thus, some of CG&C’s current services were developed at the request/instigation of its clients.

The fact that the two founders, in addition to their business and management experience, had medical/scientific backgrounds, while not directly relevant, most certainly played a significant role in the depth and pertinence of their diagnostic approach and analytical skills. This also accounts for the ethics and rigour which underpin every aspect of the firm’s services. CG&C is also acutely aware of conflict of interests issues: it will never put itself in a position of having split loyalties in relation to its clients.
